South Africa opened the Tri Nations netball series with victories over Namibia and Uganda on Thursday.
In their first match against Namibia the Proteas drew first blood very early on as they enjoyed a four point lead within the first four minutes.
Dorette Badenhorst gave two new players their maiden caps, Nonsikelelo Mazibuko as a goal shooter while Simone Rabie partnered with Monique Reyneke.
Captain Bongiwe Msomi became South Africa's most capped player earning her 121st cap today and surpassed the record of Erin Burger.
The experience of the Proteas showed as they dominated the first quarter and made Namibia work very hard for possession.
Debutant Mazibuko seemed very composed as a shooter as she gelled comfortably with Renske Stoltz in attack. South Africa took a nine point lead to the end of the first quarter as they led 16 - 7.
The start of the second quarter was no different as the Proteas were quick off the mark and extended their lead to 32-15 at half time.
That domination continued till the end of the match as they ran out comfortable 58-30 winners.
In their second match against Uganda the contest was a little closer as Badenhorst started with the same team that saw duty against Namibia.
After leading just 21-20 at half-time, the Proteas took control to claim a 49-34 win.
