MOHALI: Deputy commissioner Girish Dayalan had declared six micro containment zones in Mohali on March 15 after conducting zone-wise survey of the places from where the maximum number of cases had been surfacing.
They are one at Shivalik Vihar, Zirakpur, two in Phase XI, Mohali, one each at Dharamgarh in Lalru, National Dental College, Derabassi and Vikas Nagar, Nayagaon.
It was after a gap of five months that the micro containment zones had once again been formed.

The second containment zone was Adarsh Nagar in Nayagaon, where 23 cases from a single building were detected. The third containment Zone was Mundi Kharar, from where the second death of Mohali was reported in April 2020. By June, parts of Behda village, Sohana, Mubarakpur, Nayagaon and Baltana had been declared as containment zones in Mohali.
