‘Haathi Mere Saathi’, ‘D Company’ postponed due to Covid

Rana Daggubati’s ambitious jungle adventure drama “Haathi Mere Saathi”, which was to appear on March 26, has been postponed due to the rise Covid incidents. However, the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film – “Kaadan” and “Aranya” respectively – appear on the scheduled date.

A statement from the film production house Eros International reads: ‘Dear viewers, it hurts us to share this news, but given the Covid-19 the situation in the Hindi markets, the team of Haathi Mere Saathi decided to hold the release of the film. We will keep you informed of further developments. However, we will release Aranya and Kaadan in the South market on March 26th. ”

This is not the only film that has been postponed due to the increase in the film Covid incidents. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s “D Company” has also been postponed. The filmmaker tweeted earlier, informing his fans about the update.

‘Because of the sudden serious Covid increase in many parts of the country and amid constant news about new closures, we at SPARK decided to postpone the release of D COMPANY. A new date will be announced ASAP #DCompany @ SparkSagar1, ”wrote RGV.

Trade analyst Atul Mohan reflected on how things are affecting the film industry, saying: ‘Looking at the current situation, it’s a good move. We can wait a little longer if we have waited so long. Ultimately, safety is the priority. ”

However, the decision to release ‘Aranya’ and ‘Kaadan’ could also have adverse consequences. ‘People are watching the movie in the South, but the buzz will not be lost. There are many portals that allow easy piracy and the transfer of movie links. “In such cases, there should be no partial or distributed release,” said Atul Mohan.
