Salman Khan gets his first jab of COVID-19 vaccine at Mumbai hospital

It’s been a year since the world has been fighting against the novel coronavirus and the vaccination drive has emerged as a ray of hope for all. After several Bollywood celebs received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, now Salman Khan too has taken the first dose of Covid 19 vaccination at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. The actor took to social media to inform his fans about the same, he wrote, 'Took my first dose of vaccine today....' A while ago, Salman was snapped with an army of security as he entered the hospital which is located in the city's suburbs. Earlier, veteran actor Paresh Rawal also got vaccinated and shared pictures of the same on social media. Saif Ali Khan, who recently became a dad again, has also taken the jab against the virus. Although the actor has not announced it, several pictures of Saif Ali Khan waiting in the queue at a vaccination centre have surfaced online. Similarly, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan too took the COVID-19 vaccine. The actor-cum-filmmaker shared a picture on social media, announcing that he has taken the first shot of the vaccine. Several other actors like Kamal Haasan, Hema Malini, Johnny Lever, Satish Shah, Neena Gupta among others have also taken the first dose of Covid 19 vaccination. On the other hand, Bollywood personalities who recently tested positive include actor Ranbir Kapoor, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, actors Manoj Bajpayee, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Tara Sutaria, and actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik. Meanwhile, the government has decided to open up its vaccination drive for all above 45 years of age from April 1, and requested that all eligible people should immediately register and get vaccinated.
