    Morning Pre-Lifting Diet Advice:

    Hey guys!
Wasn't sure if this is a "supplement question", or a "nutrition question", but I'm up for both general food or supplemental suggestions.

So, my goal is weight loss currently, but lifting primarily.
I lift in the morning, and generally haven't eaten in a good 10 hours, so essentially "fasting".
I am getting some lightheadedness as a result of diet (not breathing), so I would like to know....

What are your suggestions for Pre, or Intra-Workout Foods or Supplementation that would help give my body what it needs to get through a workout (lifting) with some light cardio prior, but without creeping up my caloric intake so much that I lose some of the fat burning benefits intra-workout...

Have a banana about 30 mins before lifting.

You should adapt if you push through, I often train at 11am having not eaten since the previous evening - although these days I generally have a protein shake on waking.

Training, whether it be weight lifting or cardio, will not burn any more calories compared to a fed state. It may be beneficial to those very deep into contest prep who are very lean, but that's a maybe.

I train first thing in the morning as well.

I usually do a scoop of whey in almond milk, sometimes I'll have a clementine as well.

Or 1 serving of Greek yogurt and a clementine. Greek yogurt digests well for me.

Choose something light that digests well for you.

    Another tip:

If you're training first thing in the morning, your last couple meals before bed the night before are also very important. Because I train in the morning, I fuel up on carbs the night before to help fuel the workout the next morning. It's not like your calories and energy stores reset each day at midnight, so keep in mind what you eat the day before matters as well.

Killer info man, and thank you!
I had no idea though, that carbs would be a good thing the night before for burning, and would stay in my system that long?

But it makes sense as ya mentioned, from a "storage standpoint" as ya mentioned.

    Thanks for the insight.
