After the horrific and all too common shooting in Atlanta last week, designers Jenny Nguyen and Arati Rao decided to take action. The pair began to organize the design community around collective action: an auction to raise funds for Asian Americans Advancing Justice in Georgia. And so out of tragedy and a desire for change, @DesignForATL was born.

“When the Atlanta attacks happened, we felt the need to bring our design community, many of whom also belong to the AAPI community, together to raise funds for the families of the victims,” Jenny shared via email. “We have been so humbled by the huge amount of support we have received from the diverse range of participating designers in such a short amount of time. We are hoping to make a big financial impact for the victim’s families.”

Over 80 designers, including Aziza Mirzan, Yowie, and Coming Soon have donated items to the raffle, which is happening now until March 28th. To enter, follow the items post on the #DesignForATL Instagram page, go to the link in bio to make your donation, and add the fundraiser plus studio name in the notes. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, March 30.
