IBSD organizes webinar to celebrate International Women’s Day

Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal, a national institute under Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India organised a webinar to mark the celebration of International Women’s Day. Different eminent women personalities of Manipur spoke on different topics during the webinar.

Soso Shaiza, Ex-Member National Commission of Women, Govt of India delivered her lecture on Men for Women while Prof. G. A. Shantibala Devi, former Dean of Life Sciences, Manipur University delivered speech on Contribution of Women Scientist in Science and Technology.

A. Noutuneshwari Devi, District Session Judge spoke on Crime against women and its legal remedies and Dr. Ch. Jamini Devi, Former Chairman, Manipur State Commission for Women delivered her speech on Women empowerment – Women as a force to change.

The event was organised under the guidance of Prof. Pulok Kumar Mukherjee, Director, IBSD, Imphal and it was attended by around 200 people who are working in IBSD, Imphal and its different centres located in northeast India.
