Getting into the deets, the movie was made on a small budget of Rs.5.5 crores. Even before the release, the movie made 10 crores at the box office. After release the movie collected 35 crores worldwide. The movie unit never thought that the movie will make such huge collections.

The interesting thing about this movie is that, for the first time a weapon was designed for hero. rajamouli paid special attention for this and designed a weapon for Jr. ntr in the movie, which was a sensation then. heroines Bhoomika and Ankita played glamorous roles in the movie.
