Mahendra Singh Dhoni: Also prominent with the name “Thalla” in his IPL province, Dhoni is one of the most successful captains in IPL. The local boy from Ranchi didn’t have the easiest way to the top but he has defied all the odds and went up the ladder to become one of the best minds in the game. Dhoni has always been a part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise up until 2016 after his side came under the scrutiny of a potential match-fixing case. For the next two seasons i.e. 2017 and 2018, the former World Cup-winning Indian captain played for Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS). After the upliftment of the ban from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2018, Dhoni and his men hit the IPL stage hard with winning their 3rd IPL title.
As much as we know about Dhoni’s shrewd mind operating from behind the stumps, he has also managed to impress everyone with his batting potency down the order. Considering that for the most part of his IPL Stint, Dhoni has come out to bat in the lower-order, his stats are no less impressive.
