Italian mobile surfers top 35 mln a month in 2020

The number of Italians using their smartphone to access the internet reached 35.1 million in December 2020, according to a report conducted by the School of Management at Milan Polytechnic and cited by Cor.com. The figure is 1.5 million or 4.5 percent higher than a year earlier and is equivalent to 87 percent of internet users. Average times spent online using mobile devices also surged last year, climbing some 29 percent year on year to 77 hours a month in December 2020.
