Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel released a cleanliness anthem, ‘Swachh Bane He Chhattisgarh Ha, Chhattisgarhiya, Sable Badiya’ for the Swachh Survekshan 2021’. Sung by Bollywood playback singer and music composer Shankar Mahadevan, the anthem aims to encourage citizens and sanitation workers to work towards cleanliness and bag the first spot in Swachh Survekshan 2021.
The anthem conveys the message that only with the contribution of its people can Chhattisgarh attain the crown of cleanliness, said, government officials.
Last year in September 2020, Chhattisgarh has been adjudged second in ODF plus category under Swachh Bharat Mission (rural) for making its 62 villages open defecation free (ODF) across state.
While in the category of top 25 Urban Local Bodies (of more than one lakh population) Chhattisgarh’s Ambikapur ranked fourth, while in the same category, Chhattisgarh’s other districts including Rajnandgaon, Bilaspur and Raigarh bagged 18th, 19th and 21st position respectively.
While in urban category, Chhattisgarh has been declared as country’s first ODF++ state. ‘Swachh Survekshan 2020’, Chhattisgarh was awarded as the most cleanest state in India.
