Kriti Sanon to play ‘Sita’ in Adipurush, feels the pressure attached to the role

Kriti Sanon will be seen playing the role of “Sita” in Om Raut’s Adipurush. She recently talked about the iconic character she will be stepping into. Kriti also opened up about the pressure that comes along with such roles.

She said that she felt grateful to be trusted with such a character and feels overwhelmed to play that role. Adding that she understood the pressure that comes from this, she also said that they did not want to portray anything wrong or untrue.

She understands that people have sentiments attached to her role. She earlier played an iconic role in the period drama “Panipat.” Talking about historical period films, Kriti said that she understood the importance of dialogue delivery and body language.

With Om Raut, she likes that he has clarity about the story and the film. She also appreciates that he is technically sound. Adipurush will be a pan-Indian film. This requires Kriti to work on her Telugu.

It is also the first time that she will be acting in a film that needs extensive chroma work, the actor added.
