Gujarat: Miscreants rob businessman of Rs 8.50 lakh in broad daylight in Surat

SURAT: Three motorcycle-borne robbers snatched a bag with cash Rs 8.50 lakh from a businessman who runs a textile embroidery unit on Wednesday afternoon in Katargam area of Gujarat's Surat.
The entire incident — that took place on Ram Katha Road when there was no traffic movement — was recorded on a CCTV camera.

Karamshi Narola, a resident of Katargam, was carrying the money in a bag on his motorcycle in the Amba Talavadi area in Singanpor police station limits.
Narola attempted to chase the snatchers but they escaped.
"Police teams are working in different directions to nab the burglars," said a police officer in Singanpor police station.
