Mahira Khan hails from Pakistan. She was born in Karachi and studied at Foundation Public School. When she was 17, she left to california to pursue higher studies. She studied at Santa monica College there. She enrolled her name in university Of Southern california to pursue her degree, but returned back to Pakistan.

When she used to study in the U.S, she used to work in a store in Los Angeles where she worked as a cashier. Also, she cleaned the toilets and floors there. In 2008, she joined MTV pakistan as a VJ. In 2011 she was landed up with a protagonist role in Bhol. She later acted in many movies.

She also worked with bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan in Raees. She received many awards for various roles she played till date. In 2020, november 23, her name was listed in BBC’s Hundred women series.
