Body: Former India player Aakash Chopra took a sly dig at Michael Vaughan after the latter predicted at a 3-0 ODI whitewash in favour of India against England. Vaughan cited the absence of prime players in Jofra Archer and Joe Root along with it and Chopra was in no mood to let it be known that India are also without their regular players.

Chopra retweeted Vaughan's tweet and said that India are without Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja for the three-match ODI affair as well.

India will be missing Bumrah, Jadeja and Shami for different reasons. While Bumrah is on an extended break following his marriage to TV presenter Sanjana Ganesan on March 15, Shami and Jadeja are still recovering from their respective injuries. The Bengal pacer fractured his right wrist during the first Australia Test last year. Jadeja is currently under rehabilitation after recovering from his injury which he picked up during the third Test against Australia.

In Shami and Bumrah's absence, India have added Mohammed Siraj to the squad while Karnataka's Prasidh Krishna also got his maiden India call-up.

On the other hand, England will miss the services of Archer because of an elbow injury while Root was sent back home after the four-match Test series as a part of the Three Lions' rotation policy.

England have very few people to call upon as they have a limited squad for the ODIs with Mark Wood and Reece Topley being the only genuine pacers in the squad along with all-rounders Sam Curran and Tom Curran.

The three-match ODI series between the two sides will get underway on Tuesday at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Prior to this, India have won both the Test series (3-1) and T20I series (3-2).
