OnePlus Watch launched at introductory price of Rs 14,999, offers 14 days battery life

NEW DELHI:OnePlus has unveiled OnePlus 9 series of smartphones. Along with this, the company has also launched its first smartwatch in the country. Called OnePlus Watch, the wearable comes with a round dial and looks quite similar to a ‘regular’ wrist watch.

Priced at Rs 16,999, OnePlus Watch will be available at an introductory price of Rs 14,999. The smartwatch comes in two colour options -- Moonlight Silver and Midnight Black. The customers can purchase the smartwatch from Amazon.in and offline retail stores in the country starting April 2021. OnePlus Watch takes on similarly priced Oppo Watch (Rs 14,990) and watches from Realme( Rs 5,999) and Xiaomi (Rs 9,999) which come with more affordable price tag.

The OnePlus Watch comes only in one variant. It has stainless steel case and measures 46mm. The watch has two buttons placed on the side.
OnePlus Watch features a 1.39-inch OLED display with 454×454 pixel resolution. As confirmed by the company, the OnePlus Watch uses RTOS style software the same as the one you will see in smartwatches from Amazfit. OnePlus said that the smartwatch will work with a companion app which will enable users to connect the smartwatch with their smartphones.

Users will also be able to connect the smartwatch with the OnePlus TV and also use it as a remote. The device comes with an IP68 rating which makes it dust and water-resistant.
The OnePlus Watch offers features like sleep monitoring, air pressure monitoring and blood oxygen level monitoring. The wearable also offers 110 workout modes which include walking, jogging, running, marathon, outdoor cycling, indoor cycling, freestyle training, swimming and more.
The company also confirmed that users will be able to track all health data using the OnePlus health app. The smartwatch also packs 4GB internal storage.
The OnePlus Watch comes with Wrap Charge fast charging support. The company claims that the smartwatch will offer a week's battery life with 20 minutes of charging. On the other hand, five minutes of charge will offer a day's battery life. The OnePlus Watch is backed by a 402 mAh battery which promises to deliver 14 days of battery backup.
