Registration Division third best in revenue generation: Prashanth Reddy

Prashanth Reddy said the department of revenue, the oldest in the state, is expanding services from town to state level with more than 592 Tahsildhar offices, 74 revenue department offices and 33 Collectorate offices with 33,000 staff. The department now takes care of the registration of agricultural transactions and the issuance of passbooks to farmers, and the acquisition of land is undertaken in addition to the issuance of caste certificates. It also plays a key role in the implementation of all flagship programs in collaboration with the relevant departments.

The Department of Revenue is also receiving applications from the people to bring it to the government’s attention, except that 74 online services are being expanded by 4,533 Mee Seva centers across the state.

In 2020-21, as many as 1.7 crore applications were received. Of these, 1.1 crore applications, which include more than 12 caste certificates, have been processed and issued.

Nearly 95 percent of the online applications were addressed, and the minister added that the department provides the agricultural land details, including the land history, to the people online, in addition to the implementation of Kalyana-Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes.

‘Adequate funds for 2BHK homes’

The state government has released sufficient funds for the construction of 2BHK homes under dignity housing scheme, Housing Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy said at the Assembly here on Tuesday.

He said that the construction of as many as 2.86 lakh houses was planned at a cost of R18,800 million, and that tenders were being requested for 2.21 lakh houses, while tenders for the construction of other houses could not be called. because the government does not have land available.

Of the 2.21 paint houses, 52,000 houses were completed and handed over to beneficiaries, while 1.03 paint houses were almost completed and 66,000 houses are in various phases of construction, he said.

So far, R10,055 million has been spent on the construction of 2BHK houses. Of the 10,055 million dollars, the state government spent 8,743 million euros, while the central government gave only 1,311 million euros.

The state government has also cleared 9,600 million bills, showing the government’s commitment to building homes for the poor. The quality control system followed in the roads and buildings, irrigation and Panchayat Raj sections was adopted in the construction of 2BHKs houses.
