Hello,
I have an assembly that is composed of several parts.
During creation of each parts, I've assigned a material (in this case : galvanised steel).
So, when I open the assembly, I can calculate the total mass of these assembly with the tool "mass properties" on the "evaluate" tab. I can also calculate the mass of each part with this tool.
My question : is it possible to quickly export these datas (total mass of the assembly + mass of each listed parts) in a external file (excel for exemple) without creating a BoM-table in a drawing ?
Thank you in advance
Nicolas
Someone else will probably have a better answer, but you don't have to have a drawing to create a BOM table. You can put a BOM table in your assembly. I usually use a different one in my assembly than my drawing. I have an indented BOM in my top level assembly. After you create it, it will be near the top of your Feature Manager. You can hide or show the BOM to keep it out of your way. You can also save it out to a TXT or CSV file to open it in other programs.
