COVID-19: Cases in Hyderabad are 100 points for the first time in 2021

Hyderabad: For the first time in more than three months, the city touched the 100-point mark in terms of freshness COVID-19 incidents. On March 22, the total number of positive cases reported in Hyderabad was 103. The last time the cases were more than a century was on December 31, when 108 people tested positive that day.

Cumulatively, the number of samples tested in Telangana has been 97,18,833 since the pandemic began last year. The bulletin on March 22 also states that 216 people recovered on the day, taking the total number of recoveries to 2.99 042.

In addition to the increase in neighboring states of Maharashtra and Karnataka, the sudden increase is attributed to a large increase in the incidence in public schools and residential schools, leading to large clusters of infections.

Tuesday notes the rise COVID-19 affairs in Telangana, the Minister of State for Education, Sabita Indra Reddy, announced in the State Assembly that all educational institutions will be temporarily closed from tomorrow. Except for medical schools, all other educational institutions will be closed, the minister said. Earlier Tuesday, the union cabinet decided to open the vaccination to anyone over the age of 45 from April 1.
