Stock market update: BSE MidCap index up 1%; Bank of India soars 10%

NEW DELHI: S&P BSE MidCap index was trading higher at 01:50PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of (up 9.94 per cent), Adani Enterprises (up 7.02 per cent), Adani Green Energy (up 5.0 per cent), Adani Power (up 4.96 per cent) and Adani Transmissions (up 4.78 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Endurance Technologies (down 3.19 per cent), Future Retail (down 2.7 per cent), Power Finance Corporation (down 2.18 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 1.96 per cent) and Crompton (down 1.61 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 1.03 per cent up at 20451.06 around 01:50PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 62.85 points at 14799.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 218.33 points at 49989.62.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Rail Vikas Nigam, Suzlon Energy, Infibeam Avenues and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Alkyl Amines, Adani Gas, Adani Enterprises, Adani Green and Orchid Pharma hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Chandrima Mercantiles Ltd., Jump Networks Ltd., Devhari Exports (India) Ltd., Sanwaria Consumer Ltd., Otco International Ltd., Kakatiya Textiles Ltd., Integra Capital Management Ltd., Suncare Traders Ltd., Ganesh Films India Ltd. and CHD Chemicals Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
