Colorado shooting I just more proof gun laws don’t work. CO has mag ban.

Colorado has a high capacity magazine ban. We’re told that mass shootings won’t happen because of this magazine ban.

But just like background checks failed to stop the Atlanta shooter, magazine ban failed to stop this shooter. (Edit - Colorado has universal background checks too lmao)

Probably time to stop blaming inanimate objects

Absolutely. Because this means law abiding citizens can have them also. Also because it would put an end to an arbitrary bullchit law that doesn’t actually work in reality.

Just because one person breaks a law doesn't mean the law doesn't work on the whole.

It's illegal to murder. By your logic you should make it legal so that law abiding citizens can murder.

Oh look a bunch of logical fallacy arguments packed into one post. Lovely.

It’s not one. It’s all. Mag bans stop nothing. Mag ban in Cali during the terror attacks in San Bernardino. Mag ban nation wide during the columbine shootings mag ban in Cali during existing gang violence in SoCal and nor cal. Mag ban during other mass shootinfs here in Cali like the Santa Monica shooting and the shooting in that super small town. Oh the mass shooting here in gilroy California. Mag ban didn’t stop him.

They don’t work bro. Just lol if you think a criminal is gonna follow a mag ban law lmao.

Thanks for proving my point exactly that the laws don’t work. Buying a mag in a different state and bringing it into Colorado is already illegal and one of the provisions of the mag ban. That’s 2 gun laws that didn’t work.

Any other laws you’d like to point out that didn’t work?

    Colorado's mag ban definitely helped.

10 dead is the weekly toll in Chicago, I'm not sure why this is news.

Please explain to me how my comparison is a logical fallacy. It is the very nature of laws that crimes break them. That does not mean the laws do not work on the whole. How can you not understand something so simple?

Should we revert to having no traffic lights because some people ignore red lights?

Your idea that laws don't work because they don't prevent crimes is so ****ing stupid I don't even know where to begin.

Aren't all these bans that people bring up on the county or state level? It seems weird to compare those to federal bans.

I couldn’t give less of a fuk who did it. It’s an infringement that solves absolutely nothing. But to pretend it’s not dems pushing this chit all the time is disingenuous. Very rarely is a repub speaking for gun control.

I was led to believe that the magazine ban and universal background checks passed by this state after the Aurora theater shooting would prevent this kind of thing.

Now we have a former governor who supported those laws saying "criminals don't get background checks anyway" (yeah, thanks . . . we knew that already) and we need a new law to punish citizens who don't lock up their guns. Surely more laws are the answer.
