She's either a Machiavellian genius or was simply smart enough to pass law school and made it with her EQ + connections.

Maybe someone can correct me, but do you actually have to be that smart in order to become a lawyer? High level lawyers aside, it seems like just a bunch of memorizing + EQ. Not belittling the work ethic required to become a lawyer btw.

I was in court once and they were at the sentencing part of the process for some guy who was there. One judge and several lawyers had to take a calculator and get together in order to figure out how much time he had already served and how much time was left, then converting it from months to years. Took about 5 minutes and I'm ded srs.

I also know of a few people who passed law school and weren't exactly the brightest of the bunch, just hard workers. But these are all anecdotes and maybe I have the wrong impression.

Most lawyers are intelligent, in that they can do the work necessary to pass law school (which is a ****load of work and effort).

But that doesn't guarantee that they're smart
