Suggest smart watch for my wife.

Budget: Under 3k.

Brands: Open (Except don't suggest Mi band as its too common with boring chinese design.)

Shortlisted: Honor 4 or 5.

Try Realme Band, looks promising and will save your money too

Battery life is good and has direct USB charging (which I felt is very good)

She wants round dial preferably...

I'm inclined towards Amazfit but this videos confuses me between Lite vs BIP.

In my office I had a look at a teammates Lite and it was cool compared to the usual boring Mi.

** Lite has very cool watch faces etc. while I doubt Bip has those.

Bip has built in GPS and compass wherein Lite does not have. GPS will be very useful for outdoor activity. I think you have third party apps where you can download watch faces for Bip. Amazefit has a round dial model but costs around Rs.7000.

Available on Realme's website - https://buy.realme.com/in/goods/185.
Even Pricing is same (expect delayed deliveries due to Covid)
Seems cheap but not that good compared to Honor.

Sorry for the bump. Which watch offers best sleep pattern logging, and real-time app notifications (WA, FB, SMS) + call reject/mute.?

I have used various trackers over the years but found Fitbit to be the best for sleep tracking. Nearly all watches offer real-time notifications, option to accept/reject calls and at least send template SMS messages.

Most budget trackers will give you wildly inaccurate step counts and sleep patterns because they have cheap sensors and extremely rubbish algorithms, so using cheaper devices for serious tracking makes no sense.

I wonder how do even people sleep wearing watches, bangles and ornaments..
I even keep my phone in another room..
I belive i n concentrating purely on sleeping minus such gadget dependency...Dont wanna be their slaves!

If your budget is strictly under 3k, I would suggest you to go for Boat smartwatches. These are something new in the segment but I find the features of these smartwatches really good. Boat Storm smartwatches have all the features that you would like to have in your device and you can connect them to your smartphone as well. recently, there was another brand named Noise that brought a lot of quality products but as of now, Boat is much better and more reliable a brand for all kinds of gadgets. I have been using Boat headphones and they are offering really good performance.
Since you have less budget, I would not suggest you Samsung or Realme watches and even I believe that Mi watches are not so good. You have selected Honor watches and these are also good options but personally, I like Boat watches and I would buy these as my next smartwatch. Currently, I am using a Samsung smartwatch that was gifted to me. However, Realme smartwatches are also loved by a lot of people and even Oppo smartphones look good. But my personal favorite are Boat smartwatches which are quite affordable as well.
