Andhra pradesh cheif minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan reddy's 1 Rupee salary is being highly debated. Few resources say Chandra babu Naidu have bills paid for 15 lakhs in his term but now Jagan pays only 7 lakhs. But Chandrababu naidu never mentioned that he is not

But chandrababu naidu never mentioned that he is not taking salary, he always took the salary and allowances so there was no issue in paying 15lakhs, he paid from what he earned. But Y.S jagan mentioned he is taking only 1 rupee, so there could be 2 concepts where from government side if jagan takes full salary from the government and keep only 1 rupee for him self and donate rest of the money for any NGO's.

He will still need to pay taxes for that as well, or another concept could be through a G.O or imposing salary in assembly as Chief Ministers salary is only 1 rupee. If they impose it in the assembly they need not pay 7 lakh taxes, when asked about this they said it is for medical allowances where in they don't need to pay taxes for medical allowances. All the explanations or reasons they are giving in this issue are not very convincing. Any one who has basic idea of Taxation can understand how things work.
