Mumbai: 12-hour long water cut in some areas of Dharavi, Andheri, Bandra and Bhandup.

Andheri, Bandra and Bhandup areas of the city will get affected by 12-hour long water cut from 10:am to 10:pm. BMC has appealed to the citizens of these areas to store adequate water and use water judiciously.


The so-called City of Dreams is often under the scanner for ill-planned infrastructure, sanitation, and roads full of pot-holes. The people residing in the Andheri, Bandra and Bhandup areas of the city should brace themselves for a 12-hour long water cut from 10:am to 10:pm on Tuesday, March 23rd.

Owing to repair works of a 900 mm. diameter water valve at Powai, residents of Dharavi will receive low pressure water supply on March 23, 2021 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

The water supply is affected due to the repair works of a 900 mm diameter water valve at the Powai area of the city, resulting in a 12-hour water cut in some parts of Bhandup (S).

In some parts of Dharavi, the water would be cut-off from 5 hours. There will be no water-supply for 12 hours from 10 am to 10 pm in Filter Pada areas, Sahyadri Nagar and Jaibhim Nagar areas in Bhandup.

Meanwhile, residents of Bandra, Andheri, Seepz, Dadar and Mahim will receive a low-pressure water supply.
