Gurgaon: Two people lost their lives in separate road accidents in the city over the weekend.
In the first accident, a man died after his two-wheeler was hit by a car on Southern Peripheral Road on Saturday morning, police said. The victim, Vijay Kumar, was with his father-in-law, Mohanlal, at the time of the incident.
“They were headed for Sector 54 and were near Fazilpur when a speeding car hit them. Vijay’s helmet flew and he fell on the road and received injuries on his shoulder and his head,” said Mohanlal.
Kumar was taken to a private hospital from where he was referred to the Sector 10 government hospital. He died on the way. Mohanlal also suffered injuries. On the basis of his complaint, a case was registered under IPC sections 279 and 304-A at Badshapur police station.
In the other accident, a man named Naresh Kumar died in Farrukhnagar after his motorcycle was hit by a tractor on Saturday at 6:30pm. He and his nephew Pradeep Kumar were on their way to pick Naresh’s wife. A case has been registered at Farukhnagar police station.
