Police patil and Tantamukti president injured in stone throwing

Nashik, Mar 21 (UNI) The Police Patil and Tantamukti president of Kersane village was critically injured in a stone pelting incident by illegal sand dredgers in the Kanheri river at Kersane in Baglan taluka of the district on Sunday.
According to Satana police, Sarpanch Fulabai Mali, Deputy Sarpanch Vimalbai More informed the village police Patil Bhausaheb More and Tantamukti president Sanjay Ahire about the illegal extraction of sand on Kanheri river on Sunday morning. Police Patil and Tantamukti president rushed to Kanheri river.
Stones were hurled by the sand miners as they tried to stop them. Both Patil and Tantamukti's president were injured in the incident. He was first admitted to Satana Rural Hospital for treatment after that they has been shifted to Malegaon General Hospital for further treatment.
The Baglan police have registered a complaint and further investigations are on.
