Hyderabad: Nampally police have arrested three accused, including a woman from Bidar in connection with the murder of a car driver from the city of Hyderabad.
According to Khaleel Pasha, inspector of the Nampally police station, Shiva Kumar and his wife Imtiyaz Khanum rented the taxi from the Aslam Khan near the Nampally train station to Bidar on March 5. Ravi also joined them halfway.
Shiva Kumar is a native of Delhi, Imtiyaz Khanum of Bidar in Karnataka and Ravi of Bidar. All three planned to loot the taxi driver’s car.
He further said when the taxi came near Bidar, Shiva Kumar strangled Aslam with a cable wire and after the murder they dumped the body in the jungle area and fled with the deceased car from the crime scene.
Later they sold the car as rubbish for R14, 000 in Bidar. Although police in Nampally initially registered a missing case, they changed to the murder case after the accused were located and admitted their guilt.
