those early years should be spent developing reading skills and studying, think of all the books they could get through, and if gaming then set them on puzzle games to develop problem solving skills

unfortunately peer pressure when all their friends have phones and internet and whatnot will affect this, it's sad but true

Yeah after seeing the stats on mental health issues that have developed starting with late millennials/early GenZ as a result of tech and social media, it’s clear that giving those things to children is hurting them.

Kids should spend their formative and childhood years playing outside, reading hard copies of books, playing puzzle games, riding bikes, playing make believe with their barbies (if girls) or hot wheels (if boys). Have them enrolled into sports early, and learning an instrument.

Peer pressure will be a thing, but also as a parent, parents should be vetting the families that their kids are allowed to hangout with and make sure that they’re on the same page. That will help mitigate some of the peer pressure.

100%, i also think some of the mental health issues could be related to people comparing themselves with "apparently" perfect people online, it's like a supercharged version of being the kid at school with the cheap clothes that gets made fun of,

I let my three year old play Mario on the weekends but I also make him go outside and play. Just lol @ op being a phaggot and not knowing how to divide a kids time up so they are well rounded.

I won’t let my kid stay at another kids house until I’ve meet the parents in person and felt them out. It amazes me how many parents let their kids stay here overnight with mine without ever meeting me or my wife. I won’t even let them stay if it’s a single parent tbh unless I knew them well.

Pretty messed up seeing 1-5 year olds on iPads or iPhones all day watching YouTube. The future is effed.

anyone else mind=blown how well these 3-4 year olds can use iPads now these days? like legit watching youtube and chit, opening apps etc, its like its naturally programmed into them...we must be living in a computer simulation brahs this is all pre-programmed
