‘Warangal Security Council’ to be formed soon: CP Pramod Kumar

Warangal Urban: With a view to making Warangal commissioners a safe place, police plan to set up a ‘Society for Warangal Security Council’ soon, Police Commissioner P Pramod Kumar said here on Monday.

The CP spoke after inaugurating a total of 16 CCTV cameras in Gokul Nagar residential area under the Subedari police station in Hanamkonda, saying that people from different walks of life, including the traders, would become members of the Society for Warangal Security Council . .

“The main purpose of the council is to monitor crime in the city,” he said, stressing the need to set up more CCTV cameras to investigate and detect crime. Pramod Kumar also appreciated the residents of the Gokul Nagar for their active participation in setting up the CCTV cameras. The Warangal Police Commissariat aims to install 25,000 CCTV cameras by 2021. All the circuit television cameras will be integrated and monitored by the command control in the commissioner.

” A single CCTV camera is equivalent to a hundred policemen using CCTV cameras to control crime and to identify and punish criminals based on CCTV footage. “The police commissioner said criminals were afraid to commit crimes, especially in areas where CCTV cameras were set up,” Pramod Kumar added. Incharge DCP K Pushpa, Hanmakonda ACP M Jitender Reddy, Subedari Inspector Raghavendar and residents of the colony attended the program.
