On March 27th, the District Administration Rajouri is arranging a mega Cultural & tourism promotion festival

To encourage local culture and tourism, the District Administration Rajouri together with the Directorate of Tourism has confirmed on all arrangements to arrange on March 27, a one-day mega Cultural cum tourism promotion festival in the district. Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri assembled a meeting with all the Officers of the Tourism and Culture Department in finalizing the arrangements.

The meeting decided on the modalities for arranging the event featuring promotion of local culture, tourist attractions, and tourist sites with potential and heritage sites in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner explained that the district has tremendous possibility in tourism and it’s important to promote it on the tourism map. He also mentioned that harnessing the potential of tourism will make more opportunities for employment in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner requested the officers to work together and make sure that all the arrangements are implemented on time for the smooth and successful delivery of the mega cultural festival.

Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner has directed the Tourism Department to make certain about the participation of local cultural groups, NGOs and request outside famous artists for cultural exchange and promotion of tourism potential of the district.

“This event will provide a great opportunity for local artists to showcase their talent and promote their rich culture,” the DC said.

Among the others, CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE Jal Shakti, SR Shukla; GM DIC, Manzoor Hussain; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; DPO, Chander Kant Bhagat; District Culture Officer, Dr ADr Dar; ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; ExEn I&FC Rajouri, Sageer Malik; AD Tourism, Ambika Bali besides other officers, artists, representatives from NGOs took part in the meeting.
