Justice for Sanaton continues protest

Imphal, March 20 2021: Demanding Government and RIMS to release the details of the postmortem report, Justice For Sanaton Athokpam held a sit-in protest at Khurai Thangjam Leikai Mang Lampak today.

People who took part in the protest raised several slogans demanding early justice for Sanaton and urging the Government to find out the truth behind the 22-year-old's death.

Besides demanding the Government to release the postmortem report, they appealed the Government to make known the call record history of the two SIM cards belonging to Sanaton and hand over the CCTV footage of the RIMS Hostel No 3 to police.

It may be noted that Sanaton was a 5th semester MBBS student at RIMS and was found mysteriously hanging inside his room at RIMS hostel No 3 with his hands reportedly tied behind.

Notably, Justice For Sanaton Athokpam and family members had appealed the Government to hand over the case to CBI and refused to claim the body until the postmortem report is released.
