India won the five-match T20I series against England at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad 3-2 as they beat the visiting team by 36 runs in the decider. India scored 224 runs in their first innings and England could score only 188 runs in their 20 overs. 412 runs were scored in the game and pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave away just 15 runs in his four overs and took two huge wickets of openers Jason Roy and Jos Buttler. The second one especially in the 13th over eventually became the turning point of the game as it triggered a collapse as England lost four wickets in inside 17 balls scoring just 12 runs.

Bhuvneshwar was rightly adjudged the 'Player of the Match' for his performance for his figures of 2/15. The 31-year old, who last played for India in November 2019 was returning after two long injury gaps and immediately made his mark.

In the five games, he bowled 18 overs in which he gave away just 115 runs at 6.39 and took four wickets. Bhuvneshwar, who is now one of the senior bowlers in India's bowling line-up has returned being in great shape and bowling as well he does and it certainly augurs well for the team as they look ahead towards the ICC T20 World Cup, later this year.

May former cricketers, experts and fans were happy seeing Bhuvneshwar come back and do so well in his first series at the highest level after recovering from injury. Former batsmen Virender Sehwag, Mohammad Kaif were among many others who were delighted seeing Bhuvi back at his best and driving his team home, bowling the tough overs and providing important breakthroughs.
