Mumbai: A domestic airline honored Sonu Sood’s social activism with special liveliness on its planes.
As a token of recognition for the social service to which the actor is dedicated, SpiceJet Boeing 737 aircraft recently wrapped a number of its aircraft in special color, containing an image of the actor and a line that reads: ‘ A greeting to the savior Sonu Sood ”.
The actor became acquainted with photos he received on social media from fans.
An emotional Sonu spoke to IANS, saying, ‘I feel really honored when I see these images. The plane parked at different airports and people sent me different images from Leh, Hyderabad, Punjab and Delhi. I feel blessed. I miss my parents more, I wish they could see it. ”
The actor made a major contribution during the lock-up when he arranged transportation for migrants trapped in the cities to return to their hometowns.
Looking back on his journey in the film industry, Sonu, who made his Bollywood debut with the 2002 film “Shaheed-E-Azam”, says: “I remember coming on an unconditional ticket from Punjab to Mumbai with many dreams in my eyes and i always thought i want to make it big. Aasman pe name likhne aaye the Mumbai mein. Aaj bhi mere easter woh unimaginable ticket hai train ka still that unconditional ticket). When SpiceJet honored me, I felt really humble and I will continue to do work jisse aasman mein barkarar rahe. (I will continue to do work that can touch me to heaven). ”
The airline also helped bring people back home during locks when they repatriated more than 2.5 lakh Indians last year.
On the work front, Sonu will soon be seen in the Telugu film “Acharya” and the Hindi film “Prithviraj”.
