Duluth police arrest one after alleged firearm assault Thursday night
Mar. 19—Duluth police arrested a 20-year-old man after he allegedly shot at his girlfriend Thursday night in downtown Duluth.
At 8:20 p.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of West Second Street, according to a news release from the Duluth Police Department. Initial reporting informed officers that two vehicles had left the scene quickly.
Police then received a second call from the girlfriend. She said she was shot at and provided the name of the suspect and description of his vehicle. She was not injured.
Officers later located the suspect's vehicle on the 1400 block of East First Street and arrested the man. He's been booked into the St. Louis County Jail.
The News Tribune typically does not name people before they are formally charged. Duluth police said the investigation remains active and there are no further threats to the public.
