MUMBAI: Environment minister Aaditya Thackeray has tested positive for Covid-19 infection. Thackeray took to his social media on Saturday to inform and also appealed to anyone who has come in contact with him to get tested.
"On having mild symptoms of Covid, I had myself tested and I am COVID positive. I request everyone who came in contact with me to get themselves tested. I urge everyone to realise that it is extremely important to not let your guard down. Please follow Covid protocols & stay safe," Aaditya said on Twitter.

So far over 20 ministers in the Thackeray cabinet have tested positive for the virus since the outbreak of the pandemic in March last year and all of them have been treated and have even resumed work.
Water supply and sanitation minister Gulabrao Patil tested positive for the virus on Friday and is currently under treatment.
Maharashtra is witnessing an alarming surge in coronavirus cases, with the state reporting over 25,000 infections for the past two days.
