They want to destroy what Assam has achieved in the last five years. So people of Assam have to be cautious. Congress can put anyone at stake for its own benefit,” said PM Modi alleging that the grand old party has joined hands with parties that are a danger to Assam’s culture and heritage. Earlier today, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hit out at the BJP and PM Narendra Modi from Jorhat in Assam. He said that if Congress is voted to power in the state, CAA won’t be implemented. Rahul Gandhi claimed that tea workers will get Rs 365 per day. He accused the BJP of not fulfilling its promises. Rahul Gandhi will also be addressing a rally at Gohpur in the Sonitpur district of the state. Rahul Gandhi interacted with college students at Lahowal and addressed a rally at Doomdooma in the Tinsukia district yesterday. Meanwhile, addressing a rally from Haldia today, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee said that PM Modi has destroyed the economy of the country. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has destroyed the economy of this country – from note bandi to bank bandi. They will soon say to sell Haldia port,” said Banerjee.

He said that people of Bengal have seen destruction by Congress, Left and TMC. “They ruined people’s dreams. In the last 70 years, you gave opportunities to everyone but give us 5 years, we will free Bengal from the 70 years of destruction, we will sacrifice our lives for you,” said PM Modi. Responding to the allegations of cut-money and tolabazi, Mamata Banerjee today said that the BJP is the biggest tolabaz in the world. She said that it should never be allowed to rule the state. She also alleged that PM Narendra Modi has destroyed the economy. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has destroyed the economy of this country – from notebandi to bank bandi. They will also sell Haldia port,” said Banerjee.
