Rahul Gandhi to interact with IOC Refinery employees in Assam

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will hold talks with employees at the IOC refinery in Assins Tinsukia on Saturday.

The leader will also address two public meetings, one at 13:00 in Jorhat and the other at 14:30 in Gohpur.

Rahul Gandhi, who is on his two-day visit to Assam, will also announce the party’s manifesto for the voting Assam today at 4.45pm in the office of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC).

Gourav Vallabh, spokesperson for the ANI Congress, responsible for Media for Assam polls, said: ‘We give’ five guarantees’ to the people of Assam, which are the most important points of our manifesto, and are also agreed upon by the alliance partners. as part of the common minimum program.

He also mentioned that the manifesto would not promise any implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) in Assam.

Other than that, the congress manifesto will also mention Rs 365 for tea workers, 200 units for free electricity and R 2000 for housewives per month.

Assembly elections in Assam for 126 seats will be held in three phases starting on March 27. The counting of votes will take place on 2 May.
