Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan tested positive of coronavirus, SAPM Dr Faisal Sultan confirmed on Saturday. The news comes a day after the Pakistan PM took the first shot of a Chinese vaccine against the viral disease.
“PM Imran Khan has tested positive for Covid-19 and is self isolating at home,” SAPM Dr Faisal Sultan tweeted.

Imran Khan was on Friday inoculated with the first shot of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine against coronavirus in Islamabad. He was administered the dose during the ongoing second phase of the vaccination process in the country in which people over 60 years of age are being inoculated.
Khan, 67, was vaccinated as part of the nationwide anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign which is underway in its first phase. On Monday, President Alvi and his wife Samina received their Covid-19 jabs with the Sinopharm vaccine in Islamabad.
