Toyota will suspend production at its minicar factory in the Czech Republic for two weeks due to a shortage of semiconductors.
The plant in Kolin will stop output for 14 days starting on March 22, a Toyota spokesperson told Automotive News Europe.
The shortage is due to poor weather conditions in North America, Toyota said.
The factory builds the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 108 and Citroen C1.
Toyota took full ownership of the factory on Jan. 1. Previously it was a joint venture with PSA Group.
Toyota is adding production of the Yaris small hatchback at the plant in the second half.
PSA has not said whether it will replace the Peugeot 108 and Citroen C1 at the end of their lifecycles.
Toyota said none of its other plants in Europe have been impacted by the microchip shortage. The automaker has car factories in France, England, and Turkey.
