Jaipur, Mar 19 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party legislators in the Rajasthan Assembly on Friday created a ruckus in the House over the gang rape of a minor Dalit girl in Jhalawar and demanded action against all the culprits.
BJP MLA Madan Dilawar raised this issue under the Adjournment Motion during Zero Hour, following which another BJP MLA Sandeep Sharma along with some other legislatures marched into the well of the house waving papers and started shouting slogans.
They calmed down and returned to their seats only after the Chairman of the House Jitendra Singh and the Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Singh Rathore appealed to them to calm down.
The Chairman in the meantime called out the name of senior BJP MLA Suryakanta Vyas and invited her to speak. Ms Vyas tried to speak but her voice was lost in the midst of the commotion. Women and Child Development Minister Mamta Bhupesh complained that a woman legislature was not allowed to speak in the house. Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra said that it seems that the BJP legislatures do not respect their own leaders. Once things calmed down Ms Vyas raised the issue of removing encroachments in her constituency.

So far the police have arrested as many as 28 people in this case wherein the minor girl was raped for nine days by the culprits. He said the police failed to register a case when the mother of the girl approached the police station, adding that it was only when senior police officers intervened that the local police registered a cases. He went on to claim that if the police were to carry out a thorough investigation in the area of Ramganjmandi then several more cases of sexual assault and rape will be brought to light.
Before this MLA Ramlal Sharma under the Adjournment Motion proposed that police constable Avdesh Sharma who sustained a bullet injury during an encounter with dreaded dacoit Keshav Gurjar in Dhaulpur should be given a gallantry medal and out of turn promotion for his bravery.
