While concluding the GT smartphone launch event that recently held, Realme also teased an additional member that might launch soon. Well, the company just shared an image on which the name of the new phone can be seen. It is “GT Neo” and Realme didn’t share any further details.
However, the company has managed to throw one more hint at us. The background of the image clearly shows “1200,” which means the phone is going to be powered by MediaTek’s newest Dimensity 1200 chipset. This is unlike the Realme GT that uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor.
There are other details to follow yet but expect a new rumor mill to start soon and enlighten us more about the new product.
When MediaTek unveiled the Dimensity 1200 chipset back in January it also announced the availability to its partners. According to the announcement, the new phones utilizing the latest Dimensity 1200 processor will launch at the end of March or the beginning of April. And, the participating smartphone manufacturers are going to be Realme, Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo. So, apart from Realme, expect other manufacturers to launch their new phones during the same timeframe as well.
Dimensity 1200 processor is built upon a 6nm process. Its CPU uses three 2.6GHz Cortex-A78 cores and one 3GHz Cortex-A78 cores alongside four power-efficient A55 cores. It supports LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Apart from delivering powerful performance, the processor levels up the photography game as well. It supports up to 200MP photos, 20% faster night-shot capture & AI Panorama Night-Shot. It also supports the new Staggered 4K HDR video recording that offers a 40% great dynamic range in 4K video capture.
