Kolkata, Mar 19 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned two former IPS officers, including incumbent chief security advisor of the West Bengal government Surjit Kar Purkayasta to appear before the investigation officers probing the Saradha chit fund scandal.
While former top cop Rajat Majumder appeared before the ED officials at the CGO Complex, Salt Lake, on Friday ( today), the former city police commissioner and current chief security advisor to the government Surjit Kar Purkayasta has been to appear on March 25 in the city office.
Rajat Majumdar was arrested in the Saradha scam case and on bail now.

before the investigation officials of the Enforcement
Directorate (ED) in relations to Saradha chit fund scam case
The duo appeared before the ED office at the CGO Complex, Salt Lake,
responding to summon notices they received separately.
Former Transport minister Mamdan Mitra, who is seeking his electoral
fortune from the Kamarhati assembly seat in North 24 Parganas,
said he had received a letter for appearance and would submit details
of his income and other relevant papers.
He said he had been cooperating with the central investigating agency
in the past and would do in the future.
Mr Mitra, who spent more than a year in jail in the Saradha case, said
he also 2017 submitted details of the documents.
TMC candidate from Jorasanko in central Kolkata also appeared before
the ED office in the same case.
