Irish whiskey brand Kinahan's has signed a distribution deal with wines and spirits retailer Majestic.
Kinahan's will see its expression The Kasc Project go on sale through Majestic from early December. The whiskey uses casks constructed from a mix of five wood types to create a unique blend of flavours. It will be followed into Majestic stores by further Kinahan's expressions as part of a collaborative SKU set in early 2021, as the retailer looks to expand its Irish whiskey portfolio.
Distributed in the UK by S.E.A. Spirits, Kinahan's matures its whiskeys in former Bourbon, French wine and Spanish sherry casks as well as bespoke casks. Alongside The Kasc Project, the brand also offers its Heritage Collection - traditional whiskey styles based on new recipes and made from Kinahan's private collection of matured and maturing whiskeys sourced from across Ireland. This includes its 10 Years Old Single Malt and Small Batch whiskey.
Zak Oganian, managing director of Kinahan's, said: "We are excited to partner with Majestic and help support the development of their Irish whiskey offering by bringing something so daring and unconventional to a wider audience. S.E.A. Spirits have helped us unlock new opportunities across the on and off-trade through what has been a challenging year for all. We look forward to continuing to push the boundaries and give something different to whiskey drinkers."
Kinahan's The Kasc Project (700ml, 43% ABV) will be available to purchase through Majestic in store and online from early December, RRP £34.95.
