Over 100 fresh cases in Gurgaon, a first this year

Gurgaon: The city reported 104 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, taking its tally to 60,201. Gurgaon has reported over 100 fresh cases for the first time this year, and after a gap of 84 days — daily new cases had witnessed a decline after December 24 last year, when the city had reported 113 cases.
With this, the district administration has increased the number of containment zones in the city from four to 23. “Our teams are carrying out random sampling in these 23 areas to isolate patients at the earliest. Travel restrictions have also been imposed. People who are testing positive are in the age group of 20 to 50 years.
