Google launches ‘TikTok for work’, Threadit

Internet search giant Google has announced a new video service — called Threadit — as both a standalone website and a Chrome extension. This service has been developed by Google's in-house incubator, Area 120.
Through this service, users will be able to record clips or their screen to share with teammates.
“Threadit helps you say and show more with a video message than with an email or chat… This helps us reduce unnecessary meetings while still becoming a tighter-knit team,” said Keller Smith founder and general manager, Threadit in a blog post.
Users will be able to record multiple short clips, which will then be stitched together into one cohesive video message.
Users on Threadit will be able to control whether the recipients can respond to a clip by letting them add their own video or by limiting them to only view it.
The tool comes pre-loaded with 18 templates such as standup, pitch, code review, feedback on design tutorial, farewell and more. Each of these come with different steps, making it easier for the user to record relevant videos.
Also, to keep the exchange of clips easy, Threadit allows users to share these clips with anyone by sharing the link — without the need to have download the clip.
