The elections to Assam’s 126-member legislative assembly will be held in three phases from March 26 to April 6. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, constituting National Democratic Alliance, will take on the United Progressive Alliance, led by the Congress, and relatively smaller front led by Assam Jatiya Parishad.
While the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) have rocked the state and have emerged as a key electoral issue, but certainly it is not the only issue on which voters will cast their votes in the state.
