Govt signs R188 million agreement for MILAN-2T missiles

Hyderabad: Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) on Friday signed a R188 million contract with the Ministry of Defense for the manufacture and supply of MILAN-2T Anti-Tank Guided Missiles. The contract was signed by Dipti Mohil Chawla, Joint Secretary (AM & LS), on behalf of the Ministry of Defense’s Acquisition Wing, and Commodore TN Kaul (retd), Executive Director (Marketing), on behalf of BDL.

BDL Chairman and Managing Director, Commodore Siddharth Mishra (Retd), said receiving this order has boosted the company’s existing order book. The current position of the order book with the current order received is more than Rs 9,000 million. In line with the government’s initiative for the creation of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ in the defense sector, many articles were earmarked exclusively for Indian industry and a negative list of imports was released by the Ministry of Defense.

BDL’s products, short-range surface-to-air missile and Astra air-to-air weapon system are covered under this list, and it is expected to bring a few more products from the company to the next list that will be covered by the Ministry is released. a statement.
