    Protein and carbs intake

Hello everyone, im sorry if this question is commonly asked here. Im sure it is but i was wondering how many grams of protein should i consume in a day. Also if i consume more carbs and a little less protein does it work the same or not? I am kind of confused. I consume about 350g of carbs per day and around 145g of protein according to MyFitnessPal. Ive scanned and weighed the food that i eat so it is as accurate as possible. I keep over thinking about this and it is starting to get to my head. I am thinking about cutting for the summer as well since ive built a good enough physique for now. If possible someone tell me if carbs have the protein sparing effect and if i should just mostly focus on protein intake and little less carbs on my diet when i will start to cut. Thank you!

It is a FAQ. See the sticky threads for a full explanation - but you are going to need to include fat grams too.

But ultimately its calories that matter - you just have to make sure that protein and fat meet their minimums

Be aware that carb and protein contain 4 calories per gram - and fat contains 9
