The Tambaram police on Thursday registered a case against four DMK supporters, who burst crackers in a risky manner to welcome party president MK Stalin during his visit to Tambaram on Wednesday evening.

A police sub-inspector and four others suffered minor injuries. DMK president Stalin visited Tambaram on Wednesday evening for election campaign. The DMK supporters burst crackers from a terrace and a few of the crackers fell on public who were standing on the road.
A police sub-inspector and four others suffered injuries and they were admitted to the Chrompet GH. Following that, on Thursday Tambaram police registered a case on DMK supporters KS Raja of Mudichur, Kesavan, Sivakumar, Kandasammy of Tambaram. Police sources said Kesavan, Sivakumar and Kandasammy suffered injuries and are admitted to Chrompet GH. Further inquiry is on.
